Mitchell from Eleven to Two, 2024
Performance
A guard and a watchdog patrol the exhibition space along a set route. The guard is dressed in all black. Mitchell the dog walks by his side with a mouth guard and a vest, alertly sniffing his surroundings. Their pace is slow and they avoid making eye contact or any type of communication with the visitors. There's a barking sound every ten minutes. The presence of the two immediately shifts the dynamic typical of art spaces, generating a tense and volatile atmosphere.
